• We are a nurse-led clinic with Dr oversight, and your safety is of our utmost importance. If you are having any injectable procedure or want to learn about the different treatment options available, we will do an in-depth consultation to check your medical history, educate and provide all relevant information for you to make an informed decision before engaging in any procedures. This is very important for your treatment outcome and safety.

All new patients are required to have a cosmetic consultation. We do not offer shortened consultations to our new patients as we do not believe this allows enough time to undertake a facial assessment and cover the information necessary for you to make an informed decision and give the best possible outcome.

    CONSULTATION PROCESS
During a cosmetic consultation, we will do a total face assessment and look at your face from all angles to develop a treatment plan for the best aesthetic outcome. You will be educated on the changes that occur with aging, and we will discuss different treatment options available, and their potential benefits and risks, alleviating any concerns around perceptions, expectations, costs, and results. The treatment plan is based on a holistic view of you as an individual as no two faces are the same.

It’s easy to focus on the facial features we are not happy with, but we need to view each face holistically when considering treatments. When we are presented with before and after photos that focus on an isolated area or look closely at ourselves, we are not seeing the full picture. A good tip is to look at your face from one metre back as this is how others see us. The key to retaining a fresh natural look is to create balance and harmony across the whole face, and if we feel a treatment is not in your best interests, we will always be transparent about this.

Future treatment plans are discussed in consultation with you and suggested based on the ongoing aging process throughout your treatment journey with us. You will get the opportunity to have any concerns and questions you may have addressed during your consultation and at subsequent appointments and we allow extra time at appointments for our patients for this reason. You will not be rushed in and out the door. There is also an option for a free shortened consultation for existing patients should they wish to discuss any of the other treatments offered or have skincare prescribed.

  • FOLLOW-UP
All patients are recommended to have a follow-up after injectable treatments. We recommend a 2 week follow-up after your initial Botox/Xeomin treatment and after any new area is treated and a 4 week follow-up after all dermal filler and Profhilo treatments. This is a good time to check your results and plan your next treatment and allows evaluation to assist us in planning subsequent treatments. We will also take after photos for comparison at this time.

At the follow-up from your Botox/Xeomin treatment, we will only inject further units if it is a low dose and if necessary for the treatment result. There may be a charge for subsequent units. We then do not recommend further treatment for 3 months from the date of your initial treatment due to the possibility of developing resistance to treatment.

We are contactable after hours for any emergencies.

    COST
Our consultations take a full hour and are charged at $75 or $100 if you book for Botox/Xeomin treatment on the same day (our most popular and requested treatment). This fee is redeemable against your treatment should you proceed within 2 months of the consultation or can be redeemed for skincare products on the day.

    AGING PROCESS AND TREATMENT OPTIONS
As we age, our skin loses some of its elasticity and doesn’t spring back as easily when we make facial expressions. This loss of bounce combined with the repeated muscular action required, for example, to smile, squint, cry, and frown cause wrinkles and folds to become more permanent. Over time, the shape and contour of the face changes. Facial volume gradually changes with loss of bone density and changes to the distribution of the fat pads. The skin becomes thinner, making the effects of gravity more apparent.

Aging can be attributed to intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic aging is the natural aging process determined by your genetics. Extrinsic aging is influenced by external environmental factors including pollution and UV exposure, smoking and poor nutrition.

Below is an overview of options we have available to help slow down and protect our skin from the visible signs of aging. For a more detailed description and FAQ’s please click on the links or look at treatments on the home menu.

  • Botox® and Xeomin®

Anti-wrinkle injectable treatments such as Botox and Xeomin are used to reduce muscle contraction and smooth out the overlying skin, softening lines, and wrinkles, and preventing the formation of deeper lines. We aim for a natural look, not a 'frozen' face look.

Dermal fillers can be used to replace the moisture or (hyaluronic acid) and to restore volume to areas where facial volume loss has become apparent. We also use it to contour and balance the face and help create a more refreshed and rested appearance, to fill wrinkles and folds and to plump lips.

  • Medical Grade Skincare

Medical grade skincare can amplify the results of your in-clinic treatments and aid in recovery post-treatment as well as improve skin quality, evenness, luminosity and help with the appearance of fine lines. Our skincare is prescribed specifically for your skin concerns.

Protecting your face from the sun is the best thing you can do to prevent premature aging and is a requirement if you are having any energy-based treatments. We cannot stress enough the importance of using sunscreen daily, year-round. UV light damages the DNA in our skin and can lead to skin cancer and cause premature aging.
