• The key to achieving the most natural yet aesthetically pleasing result is a scientific knowledge of anatomy combined with fine art. This requires a careful eye for detail combined with continued education and a lot of dedication.

Prior to any injectable treatment Jaime will conduct an in-depth individualised facial assessment so she can choose the right treatments for your unique face. At CosMedic Clinic we have a holistic view and consider the whole canvas. We are very passionate about all things skin and all about preventive measures, promoting skin health and offering a variety of treatment modalities to get results. We do not believe in shortened free consultations with our injectable treatments as the goal of treatment can be easily lost sight of and it does not allow enough time to develop a plan that addresses your individual needs. Your face deserves value too.

With so many treatment options and different clinics it’s hard to know what or who to choose. It’s important that you find a practitioner you feel confident and comfortable with and its perfectly ok to ask questions and have a consultation before deciding this. These procedures can be a little daunting for some, and we understand as this is your face after all, so we try and make the process as comfortable as possible with no pressure. We are an established local boutique style clinic having opened in Invercargill in 2017 and our experienced cosmetic nurse and registered nurse Jaime is available for appointments Monday to Friday offering stability and consistency.

Jaime Squires CosMedic Clinic

About Jaime Squires

Jaime is the owner and nurse injector at CosMedic Clinic. Jaime has two teenage/adult children and has been working in the aesthetics industry for 13 years and nursing for over 20 years having gained her Bachelor of Nursing Degree in 2001.

Jaime has worked in a wide range of areas during her career including surgical, medical, outpatients, elderly care, mental health, been part of an immunisation team and worked in sexual health and primary health with youth and young adults.

Jaime realised early on in her nursing career that she had a real passion for cosmetic nursing and a desire to learn more, and it hasn’t stopped since. Jaime completed some beauty therapy papers to further her understanding of the skin before starting her journey as a cosmetic nurse. Jaime began working with a team of cosmetic nurses and Drs, where she was put through an in-house training programme and attended additional training and conferences going on to run their Invercargill clinic for several years.

Inspired by the results she was able to achieve and the increased self-confidence of her patients, along with the experience she had gained in the industry, Jaime had the ambition and drive to continue her passion, and in 2017 took the step in opening her own clinic.

Education and learning play a very important role at CosMedic Clinic, and it is up to each practitioner as to how much value they hold on this to continue their education within the industry. In 2022 Jaime was fortunate to attend the first ever cadaver workshop for injectors in NZ. She also attend the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine (NZSCM) conference yearly along with workshops, in-house training sessions and webinars.

Jaime works under standing orders from her oversight Dr – Dr Henryk Poczwa of Vein and Skin Clinic and member of NZSCM and she liaises and meets with him regularly.

Jaime is a member of the Cosmetic Aesthetics Nursing Network of New Zealand (CANN) and Complications in Medical Aesthetics Collaborative (CMAC), a worldwide group of Dr’s, nurses, and dentists dedicated to safer practices and the treatment of complications within the aesthetics industry.

Jaime will never bring in a new treatment/modality before doing some watchful waiting followed by a lot of research, test trials and hands-on training. Jaime will only purchase from reputable companies so you can rest assured in the knowledge that the treatment has been thoroughly investigated before being offered to our patients.

Southland is a close-knt town and a vast majority of CosMedic Clinic's patients have been coming to her for years whom she has built a strong rapport with. The clinic is warm, inviting and in a discreet location where you can relax knowing that you are valued, and your privacy will be respected at all times. Having a strong grounding in variety of nursing settings and a caring nature contributes to the medical care Jaime can provide her patients.
